I love teaching, and my favorite things to do are a) teaching people about the importance of voting and b) teaching 2nd year medical students about my form of scleroderma one afternoon every year. The latter has been curtailed by Covid-19 which is sad because I love talking about myself.

This is a four year appointment by the US Secretary of Health and Human Services. The council is made up of world-reknowned medical researchers, lay persons who have headed organizations directly affected by NIAMS research, and patients. I was the patient. Most of the time I was too tired to think after 8-12 hours of travel and didn't know what we were talking about.
