    Prior to joining Mercer, Betsy was with the Employee Plans Technical and Actuarial Division of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) National Office in Washington, D.C. She was involved in several major IRS projects, primarily in the Section 401(k) area, which included developing and implementing 401(k) regulations and model language and notices published by the IRS. Her IRS duties also included reviewing defined contribution and defined benefit plans submitted for IRS approval.
