Selected by senior leadership to create the department and initiate workforce development systems for the evolving College of Health Sciences. Responsible for the performance management and hiring and development of staff, fostering relationships with the business community, ensuring the responsiveness of the College to needs of the workforce. LSHRM has been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as #2 of the “Top 10 Most Charitable Giving” Chapters, out of nearly 600 world-wide Chapters, during tenure. Creator and leader of “Bridging the Talent Gap”, a local talent alignment survey and ongoing workforce development program driven by the Human Resources profession and designed to help better understand the talent gaps within our community. Secured a $90,000 grant to ensure program success, and has been deemed one of the top workforce development initiatives in the community. Rallying support, active participation, and collaboration of local leaders in the areas of workforce readiness, economic development, education and over 260 businesses to help Louisville continue to grow. Project managed the creation of the Economic Development Website working with 7 different departments. Website launch was delivered on time, under budget and with an effective marketing strategy.
