    Mercado Bitcoin is Latin America's largest digital assets exchange, and one of the 25 safest exchanges in the world. With a valuation of over US$ 2 billion, it is the only crypto double unicorn in Latin America.As an Android Engineer, I mantain and develop the Mercado Bitcoin Android app, where our customers can buy and sell cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, such as defi, utility and fan tokens.The app follows Clean Architecture principles, and the UI layer is designed in the MVVM pattern. It uses Koin for dependency injection/service location, and Retrofit to communicate with an array of microservices that our backend exposes to its clients. The app exclusively uses Coroutines for background work.

    As a member of the Android team, I mantained and developed new features in the Globoplay Android and AndroidTv app. Globoplay is a video streaming service with over 11 million Android users.The original app was written in Java and was re-written in Kotlin by our team. It presents to the user a server-driven-UI designed in the MVVM pattern and uses LiveData, RxJava, Coroutines and other standard technologies. It consumes a GraphQL backend through Apollo GraphQL, and other more traditional backends through Retrofit.

    As part of a squad (alongside a P.O./Scrum Master, an UI/UX Designer and two other android engineers), I maintained and made improvements to a legacy app (written in Java), which assists government agencies in the apprehension and removal of automotive vehicles. The app reads bar and QR codes, stores pictures and digital signatures, prints receipts through bluetooth printers, and talks to a Python backend, which consumes vehicle and driver information through government agencies’ APIs and relays it to the app.I took part in the planning and execution of the "GRV Eletrônica 2.0" project, a new iteration of the app, written 100% in Kotlin, which used Coroutines to implement non-blocking work, a Room database, custom views, a decoupled architecture and the MVP UI design pattern.I was also the lead mobile engineer of a project - in an initial phase of execution - of an app and backend system for inventory/stock control for apprehended vehicle yards, using RFID tags and readers, and geolocation data generated on mobile devices.
