We were thumped in the first 5 games but by the end of the season we were able to compete against opposing teams. We managed to draw 1 game and only lose by the odd goal which was a huge achievement as many of the opposing teams had been playing for years. Under my leadership, the team saw a massive improvement in both their skills and confidence. The girls went from regularly losing 8-0 to putting up a strong defence and closing the goal difference in matches.
