      I took minutes of meetings, organized the Director's calendar and schedules, provided correspondence for the Director's signature, planned the Director's meetings, and helped organize the computer processing schedules. Our department counted ballots for all of DeKalb County's elections. We processed Police and Fire Department emergency reports. This required that all employees in our department must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process. We provided maps and routes for the Police and Fire Departments, because we always had the new streets and new subdivisions in our system. There was no such thing as "Google" maps.I worked on an electric typewriter, but I took my typing test at DeKalb County on a manual typewriter. No one had individual computers. I scored the highest on the manual typing test in 1966, and no one has matched it yet.
