    Key Skills and Responsibilities: As Manager I continued Estimating & Planning and development as well as liaising with customers and handling contracts. Recon works for Steinmuller on Coal Mills. Became involved in manufacturing all parts for upgrading Sasol's Steam drums. This contract lasted two years and resulted in the Stream drums not having to be repaired Bi-Annually as in the past. The first replacement was due in 2001. Appointed the site team doing the installation and visited site weekly to discuss progress and report to Sasol. I have successfully tendered, fabricated and completed Emsa's, Saggers, which involved some specialised fabrications and welding techniques.Special Projects Experience: Did intricate parts and special projects for the Petrochemical Industries. Worked extensively for Natref, Sasol 1, 2, 3 as well as completing complex Fabrications successfully for Iscor, namely Honey Comb Detarrer for VDBP and Newcastle. Furnaces - Completed for Davy, SA Furnco, Pyromet, Samancor & TQM Engineering. Breakdowns - Petrochemical Distillation Columns for Suprachem, Caltex, Linde, Foster-Wheeler, Distex, Unitex- Chemicals and all three Sasol's as well as Pollifin & Mannesman Demag. I went to sites and measured and made drawings of the damaged internals of the distillation columns and fabricated new parts to get the process back on track in the shortest time possible. I did this for Sasol; Natref; Karbocem; Supracem; Mozal ; Iscor. Most of this was done as shutdowns over the Easter and December holidays when these instances had their annual shutdown.
