As a journalist I've delivered reports, produced and presented news-bulletins, made interviews, researched, written and presented features, informative programs, language, culture, children and music-programs on radio and TV for 25 yearsFirst, as a journalist at Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation Turkish Section. I selected, translated, produced and presented news bulletins and reports (from Norway, Turkey and international), conducted interviews ; researched, wrote, produced and presented features, informative programs, culture, children and music programs in Turkish. I have also functioned as anchor for TV news bulletins..Second, as journalist at NRK TV I have created and presented many stories about current affairs for the TV show MIGRAPOLIS. The aim of the show is to make the interaction between immigrant communities and the host community visible We have been focusing on the positive aspects of immigration and the valuable assets of individuals with various ethnic backgrounds which is not been adequately covered by mainstream media. As a TV journalist I start from the idea phase of the story telling and then I research the topic, sources, plot, find the right people to be interviewed. Then I move to the shooting with the crew, I present the story in front of the camera, carry out the interviews. The last phase of my work is putting 10 minutes-story together on the editing board with the help of a technical engineer. I and 12 other multilingual-multicultural journalists have been producing a 30 minutes culture magazine since September 1997. I left this position in 2009.For more than 25 years I have reported discussions about immigration issues in Norway and other European countries, observed the interaction between the culture of the immigrants and the culture of the host country and reported the different aspects emerging from this encounter. I can also mention that cultural journalism is a field I worked a lot.
