We had the privilege of working on challenging stories including refugee crisis, student protests, RBI-SERI conflict, etc.

    National Geographic Photo Camp selected 20 students(writers and photographers) for a workshop of 5 days in Kolkata, West Bengal. I was one of them and worked as a researcher and writer for the project "Temporary Land" that focused on river erosion and its impact on the fishermen community in Simurali, Nadia, West Bengal. My responsibilities included conducting oral interviews, field study, and going through existing studies of scholars like Dr Kalyan Rudra on this topic to write a report at the end of five days followed by a presentation at SRFTI, Kolkata. I collaborated with Kolkata-based photographer Koushik Das and was supervised by a team that included Paul Salopek (two-time Pulitzer Prize winner), Kirsten Elstner, Dustin Renwik, Matthieu Paley and Arati-Kumar Rao.
