    I was part of the USAID External Evaluation Team which conducted the Performance Evaluation of USAID/Zambia Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). The performance evaluation of the CDCS was based on three development objectives (DOs) which included all the 45 USAID implemented projects in Zambia. The DOs were each with intermediate results namely:DO 1 : Enabling Governance Environment Improved with the following intermediate results:a) Citizen Demand for Transparent Accountable Service Delivery Increased.b) Transparency and Accountability in Government Service Delivery Increased.DO 2 : Rural Poverty Reduced in Targeted Areas with the following intermediate results:a) Smallholder Agricultural Productivity Increased.b) Markets and Trade Expandedc) Natural Resource Management Improved.d) Resilience of Vulnerable Households Improved.DO 3 : Human Capital Improveda) Educational Achievement in Reading Improvedb) Health Status Improved.Research assistant duties includes:. Attended a four days' workshop training based on the CDCS performance evaluation.• Field data collection (qualitative) across Zambia: Eastern, Central, Copperbelt, southern, Lusaka and Muchinga provinces.• Conducting key informant interviews with the USAID implementing partners under the USAID/ Zambia Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) development Objectives.• Conducting focus group discussions with the selected (purposive sampling) beneficiaries of the USAID funded projects. • Conducting desk reviews of documentations from the USAID cooperating/implementing partners.• Contributing to the formulation and design of the next USAID/Zambia CDCS (Informed the development of the fiscal year 2017-fiscal year 2022 CDCS).• Submission of data transcripts on a daily basis.
