Inspired by her Grandmother, a jazz singer and pianist in NYC, Aubrie began her piano studies in 2002. Aubrie quickly discovered a talent and love for music that inspired a dedicated practice schedule. Realizing that she wanted to pursue music as a career, she auditioned to study with world-renown teacher and classical pianist, Mochi Chan, in 2003. During her first few years studying with Mochi, Aubrie was invited to compete in The National Fine Arts Festival Competition in 2003 and 2004, and was a finalist both times. Just two years after studying with Mochi, Aubrie was accepted into Tanglewood Institute’s Young Artist’s Piano Program, in Lenox, MA. In 2011, she completed her Bachelor of Music degree from Cedarville University with a double major in piano performance and keyboard pedagogy. During her sophomore year at Cedarville, Aubrie won the University’s Concerto Competition and performed with their orchestra. While at Cedarville, she maintained a piano studio of students ranging from children to adults. She judged for the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs and her students actively participated in Federation and The Piano Guild. She began her Masters of Music degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011. While at UNCG, she won first place in the North Carolina Federation of Music Clubs Collegiate Competition. In 2013, she completed her M.M. at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a collaborative piano and teaching assistantship. While in Knoxville, Aubrie not only taught as a graduate assistant at The University of Tennessee, but also as a private instructor at Knox Music Studios. Throughout her academic career, Aubrie has had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses for distinct artists, such as Evgheny Brakham, Mikhail Petukhav, and Polina Bespalko. Aside from developing her career as a teacher and solo performer, Aubrie has had the opportunity to collaborate with various vocalists and instrumentalists in the U.S. and Australia.
