    Ashley Rosales, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, is the Program Director of Nutrition Science for Dairy Council of California where she oversees programs and strategies that improve the health of children and families through nutrition education and access to nutritious foods. Driven by Dr. Bruce Daggy’s quote, “Let’s build wellness rather than treating disease,” Ashley specializes in applying consensus research to nutrition education program development, addressing nutritional needs within communities to eliminate health disparities, and providing input on nutrition recommendations and dietary guidelines for the public. With a strong background in strategic planning, issues management, trends tracking and communications, Ashley leads efforts to empower health stakeholders to use credible, evidenced-based nutrition science to make healthy eating easier. Ashley serves as a co-coordinator of the Well-Nourished, Brighter Futures initiative, which is a cross sector collaboration to foster nutrition equity in supporting children to achieve their full health and life potential. She serves on the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Public Policy Council, the California Conference of Local Health Department Nutritionists policy committee, and is a member of the International Dairy Federations Standing Committee on Nutrition and Health. Ashley is also a media spokesperson for both traditional and social media channels.
