I had the privilege of working with Successful Farming Magazine as a summer intern.Responsibilities included editing and posting articles to AgricultureOnline, acting as production assistant for The Successful Farming Machinery Show and helping with the print magazine as needed.I was chosen for an amazing opportunity to represent the magazine as an international correspondent in August 2008. I was placed with a delegation of soybean farmers from the United Soybean Board. Traveling with the group from Johannesburg, South Africa to Maputo, Mozambique, I created a multimedia blog for AgricultureOnline and documented the trip in writing and photographs. After returning to the United States, my subsequent article was published in the print magazine. It was my first trip overseas and one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.
