I was approached for this role when they had been without a financial controller since August 2008 while employed at the CAT Rental Store.Achievements:• Completion of and bringing up to date all outstanding financial accounts, including March 08 Statuatory Accounts, 08 Tax Returns etc that were not complete• Developing up to date management reporting formats• Managing large outstanding tax commitments• Operating under bankers asset management controls• Modelling of construction projects and equipment utilisationResponsibilities:Complete finance function of the business including management of local and remote accounting/office staff, preparation of financial and tax reporting for associated and group companies, management of banking and finance company relationships in association with the owner.

The business was entering a phase of restructure with the impending drop in market demand.Achievements:• Installation of new Rental Management System• Modelled and completed a Business Review, with the ultimate outcome being a downsizing and reintegration of the rental business into the main Cough businessResponsibilities:Lead accounting and administration staff, analysis of business performance, preparation of monthly accounts and board reporting package, liaison with financiers, overall business review and recommendation of future model.
