Design/Build Project Manager, Permitting Manager and Technical Advisor for Exyte's GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 Site team. Permitting Manager for SIO/Foxconn, Cree and other Advanced Technology Facilities. On site since the initial programming and site approval phases of the project, Art served as a technical member of the GLOBALFOUNDRIES/Exyte Project Management and Site Permitting Team for projects related to Fab 8. He was the recognized leader of the Exyte Building Permit/Certificate of Occupancy effort which has included a well planned and coordinated program of chemical ready and early use permits, temporary certificates of occupancy and other actions that permit client occupancy and fit up without delays to the construction schedule. Recently Art expanded his role to include the project management of the Exyte SDC team for all projects on site. In addition, Art developed strong relationships with the New York State Department of State Codes Division, the Capitol Region Variance Review Board, Town of Malta Planning and Building Department and other code and permitting authorities locally and state-wide. One of his strongest efforts was to work collaboratively with the Town of Malta to successfully negotiate code interpretations and related design approaches. He has a thorough understanding of the Alternate Means and Methods and Code Variance processes, and as the Community Communications Manager on the construction site, developed an effective neighborhood construction complaint process which in the end produced no complaints related to on-site construction. In addition to his work on the Fab 8 site, Art served as Permitting Manager for the SIO/Foxconn project in Racine, Wisconsin as well as Cree and Danfoss in Utica, NY and Project Manager for the design and construction of various projects at SUNY Poly's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering campus in Albany, NY.
