During the summer of 2018, I went to a high altitude (4500+ meters) school in rural Nepal to teach at Crystal Mountain School and conduct research on the socio-economic condition of the people there. I collaborated with Dr.Junyi to draft survey questions and conducted interviews with 25+ villagers, collected 50+ survey responses, synthesized the findings, and wrote reports to present to the staff and the president in order to enhance the relationships between staff, students, and parents. I also taught Mathematics, English, and Science to students from grades 1 to 6 and took on the role of a substitute teacher whenever required.
