Although I've had students assigned to me on a class roster, I felt my job was to instill education, leadership, independence, and behavioral consciousness into every individual that I came into contact with. As a teacher, I led several committees, mentored numerous teachers and students, and educated parents on their roles, rights, and responsibilities. Learning never ends and never should teaching.
