I successfully completed a Master of Science in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation at Syracuse University. This was a comprehensive program that tested my capacity to design, create, implement and evaluate both non-technology, and technology supported instructional solutions for a variety of educational professional settings and theories such as behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, humanism, connectivism, and social learning. I employed problem-solving and critical thinking skills to design and develop diverse learning models with a focus on analysis, design, development, and implementation to include the development of self-evaluation guardrails to ensure desired outcomes. There were research, curriculum development, and communication standards to meet, and I successfully hit all the marks.

A command sergeant major serves as the commander’s senior advisor on personnel programs, human resources, budget management, career progression, personnel’s family needs, IT management, supply and logistics, financial matters, professional military education, and recognition programs among other duties and responsibilities. This was my role at an organization level for the largest attack battalion in the U.S. Army comprise of 700+ personnel.I led the planning, organization, and coordination to mobilize Apache Helicopters, vehicles, unarmed aircraft systems, and personnel to the Republic of Korea. Every item and soldier mobilized was my responsibility: 17 Apache Attack Helicopters, 6 Grey Eagle drones, 8 Shadow drones, and over 200 ground vehicles valued in excess of $1B were accounted for with zero losses. Though this was not an instructor position, by the time I got here developing, designing, improving, and auditing programs and SOPs was part of my mode of operations. I proactively sought to improve programs and training instructions and instinctively foresaw complex operational concerns, and I was already on it by the time change needed to happen. I groomed personnel for key positions, and went to great lengths to meet all my soldiers’ needs in professional and personal family matters.
