The Victorian Government’s project ‘A systems-strengthening approach to the management of established pest animals and weeds in Victoria’ applied systems thinking to identify and map system relationships and stakeholders to build on the work of identified by Victorian Community Pest Management Groups. Key responsibilities:• Undertaking 10 semi-structured interviews and focus groups with community members and agency staff to gather data on the social systems currently in place for the management 3 weed species.• Trialling and adapting new approaches throughout the study including a test run of the analysis framework, reviewing systems mapping software and testing various options for photovoice platforms.• Development of systems maps using transcription data analysis to outline interactions and relationships between stakeholder organisations, including funding flows, knowledge transfer, influences, agreements, frustrations and compliance.• Development and maintenance of the weedsandrabbits.com website and photovoice initiative.• Presenting Systems Maps to stakeholders at the Agriculture Victoria Weeds and Rabbits workshop.• Report writing, editing and reflection on project outcomes and key learnings.
