This area was on the southwest coast of Florida starting in Naples/Marco Island and extending up the coast all the way to Bradenton/Sarasota. The only open locations for Hertz in that entire area, included Naples Airport, Fort Myers Airport and Sarasota/Bradenton Airport.I opened 12 offices in six months, which included finding the locations, negotiating leases, ordering fixtures and furniture, overseeing the contracted build-outs, signage and zoning issues and then finally opening the offices, including hiring the Manager, Assistant Manager and Shift Managers for all 12 offices. I also trained and assisted the staff in building business for all of the offices.This was one of the most challenging positions that I ever had in my life and I enjoyed every aspect and every minute of building this area. All 12 locations that I opened are still open today (in 2018), still profiting and building the local car rental end of the business.
