    My role was audience advocate through management of the evaluation and market research programme. Outputs included audience development plans for the International Slavery Museum and the Museum of Liverpool which contributed to the largest Heritage Lottery Fund grant ever awarded to a museum at that time. continuous demographic survey of visitors exhibition and programme development research (qualitative and quantitative) provision of key performance indicator data to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport intelligence gathering managing a core budget of £28,000 with a further budget of around £40,000 for ad hoc projects throughout the year line management of staff set up and maintained complaints procedure Inaugural chair of the Visitor Studies Group, 1998 – 2001 and Treasurer 2002 - 2005.The outcomes were successful exhibitions, funding applications and programmes.Early roles at NML (1998 – 1992) were demonstrator team leader and interactive exhibition developer. Both involved working with visitors to facilitate their understanding of the objects and concepts on display. Founding secretary of the British Interactive Group.
