Plan,implement and provide therapeutic recreation programs ,for a diverse inpatient rehabilitation population,which includes,Stroke ,Amputee,Brain injury,MS and general rehabilitation.I implemented a Life after Stroke program for our inpatients. I co-treat with Occupational Therapy and run a breakfast group with patients who nearing discharge.I co-ordinate the community skills program with O/T &P/T to bring our patients in to the community and have them experience getting ready to re-enter the community.I also provide a community re-integration program in the evening to have patients experience going out to dinner or an event prior to discharge. .Co-ordinate 2 Stroke support groups,as well as a post stroke exercise program for discharged stroke clients.Community outreach by representing Kessler Institute at various health fairs,to promote our services Presented at our Stroke Conference ,which is held annually at the Saddle Brook Facility.I also am a member of the Employee Engagement commitee.

Develpoed a recreation program for an adolescent/pediatric inpatient acute care hospital.Provided a diverse program which included setting up and furnishing the newly created space,on the unit.The activies provided included ,arts and crafts,group and individual activies,music,movies,special events , and community speakersI also developed a community outreach for area schools to come in to visit and tour the hospital .They were taken through all the various departments they would encounter if they had to be hospitalized ,to ease any fears.I also developed a pre -op teaching program for all children planning to have surgery. They able to visit the OR and gown up and ask questions .Provided recreation programs for a 21 day volun.tary /inpatient Psychiatric floor.Programs included community outings,special community presenatations,holiday events,crafts,discussion, and movies.
