Toronto’s Kitchen Library (2013-2016) was Canada’s first non-profit lending library of kitchen tools and appliances. It was founded on the belief that income and space shouldn’t be barriers to healthy eating and home cooking. Anna worked as the Toronto Chapter Lead, focusing on volunteer management and community engagement. As chapter lead for the primary location, Anna was responsible for collection development and maintenance, including implementing an efficient and understandable online interface for managing membership and item loans. She was further responsible for recruiting and training volunteers and led community initiatives, including coordinating and developing programming through Toronto Public Libraries. Toronto Public Library programming included workshops on meal planning, building a food budget, preparing homemade baby food, and more.
