My position as Senior Production Specialist entailed the production of presentation materials for institutional and private investors, as well as third party investment companies. I was also charged with creating highly customized materials involving a great deal of detailed information under heavy volume. My position in the instructions department of K’nex Industries involved a hands-on approach to 3-D modeling and layout. I was responsible for the duplication of physical models, their subsequent breakdown into subassemblies, then their virtual 3D assembly using Pro-engineer and their rendering to high-resolution image files for layout. I was then responsible for the preliminary layout using Photoshop and Quark for stepped out instructions to be sold in retail packs. I was also responsible for the tracking of projects from the time our department received models to the time the final projects were sent to printers. 3D renderings were used for kit instructions, packaging, and promotional sales materials and displays.
