Assigned the trade of coppersmith I was then working in various areas on the shopfloor spurrier LAP tech centre bending pipes, brazing, silver soldering and mig welding pipes and chassis parts for buses, i worked in foundery maintenance on sheet metal and on finishing my apprenticeship worked in the coppersmith department at farrington bus site before applying for and getting a position in the prototype research and development department template making, laying initial pipe runs and making welding fixtures and jigs. Covered the EITB modules D2,D3 and received certification in engineering craftsmanship and first year broad based engineering and my city & guilds in sheetmetal and thin plate craft studies
