Served as both Lead Counselor and Counselor during this time. Led Counseling Department and the character development curriculum, mentor recruitment program, and hiring process for new employees. Participated on search committees, conducted interview boards. Provided on-boarding, training, and orientation for new staff. Supervised 4 counselors, and one mentor coordinator.Oversaw mentor recruitment and selection program (approximately 250 mentors annually). Planned and coordinated six on-site large group mentor events every year which included facilitating training. Maintained student, mentor, and employee files, reports, and leveraged our software applicant tracking systems.Served as liaison and developed partnerships with universities, military recruiters, and national programs. Established a partnership with AmeriCorps NCCC, served as resident expert on enrollment process and wrote a staff handbook which later became a national program standard.Conducted crisis, guidance, and career counseling and planning. Assisted students in exploring career options, researching academic college programs, learning the application process, and securing scholarships.Re-designed a formal 22-week character development curriculum and taught small and large group character development classes to students 16-18 years old.Developed and led the Cadet Ambassador Program, which provided opportunities for students to share their experiences at community events and expand program awareness.
