In my role as a genomics health policy trainee, I assist in conducting and analyzing interviews with different types of families that have had genetic testing with results including secondary findings. The goal of our team is to develop a tool called "P-GUIDE- Patient-reported Genetic testing Utility InDEx" that captures patient values and preferences and helps policymakers make evidence-informed funding decisions. We are also working on other versions of this tool such as A-GUIDE that captures the view of adolescents as well a prenatal version.
