Admin & Public Programming | Website Manager | Offsite Projects
-
Jan 2011 - Sep 2015
As Administration Manager I oversee the daily running of the gallery. My main focus is on Public Programming, Community Engagement & Offsite Project Management. In 2012 I co-ordinated the gallery's involvement with the final year of Splendid, which brought together the next generation of artists in Australia to consider how to make art and performance for mass audiences. In 2013 I managed the gallery's part in presenting Barnraiser at Splendour In The Grass and now project manage the Splendour In The Grass 'New Art' Commission, presenting art at the festival. In 2014, I am project manager on stage two of this work, Rumspringer, assisted by the Emerging & Experimental Arts Grant, from the Australia Council. Lismore Regional Gallery’s Mission is to facilitate the exchange of ideas locally and nationally through a distinctive and innovative program of exhibitions and events. A focus on solo exhibitions over recent years, usually working directly with the artist, has seen the presentation of work by Roger Ballen, Julie Rrap, Sam Jinks, Alexander Seton, Tracey Moffatt, Margaret Olley and Patricia Piccinini – all generated specifically for and by Lismore Regional Gallery. We also play an active role in developing exhibitions by and with the local community to tell stories of local significance. The Northern Rivers is a dynamic community, and we see our role as being a key place to tell our stories.
