Headed up an initiative to recruit family doctors . Managed a database of over 7000 Ontarians living without a primary care practitioner. In addition, marketed the Upper Ottawa Valley as an ideal place for a primary care practitioner to live and work. • Successfully recruited 9 family physicians to the area by attending job fairs, coordinating visits and tours, and building relationships with prospective physicians and their families through ongoing communication• Expedited the delivery of primary care for over 6000 patients; in turn reducing the wait list to under 1000 names• Corresponded with patients in the community, addressing their questions and concerns• Facilitated a committee of 15 members consisting of community volunteers, healthcare professionals and municipal representatives designed to recruit and retain family physicians• Managed and responsible for delivery of successful events showcasing the community and promoting practice opportunities – Week in the Country, Pre-med club, appreciation and acknowledgement of physicians • Responsible for the production of monthly status update reports designed to provide stakeholders with key information on the initiative
