The UCRTP provides students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become proficient in cancer health disparities research.- Worked closely with graduate students to investigate the role of antibody-mediated immune responses in cancer in Dr. Aaron Meyer's lab in the Department of Bioengineering at UCLA.- Specialized in bead-based immunoassays to analyze antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP).- Presented experimental results to researchers at CDU in the form of a research paper and presentation, effectively communicating preliminary findings and how they will help direct future work in Meyer Lab.- Led a Journal Club presentation on "Tumor-reactive antibodies evolve from non-binding and autoreactive precursors" and health disparities in cancer immunology, enhancing my understanding of the latest developments in cancer immunology and allowing me to engage in thought-provoking discussions with colleagues, further enriching our collective knowledge.
