After GTL Group's acquisition of ShineHub, I transitioned to the role of CMO, leading the development and strategic integration of vertically aligned brands within the renewable energy sector. My core mission involved leveraging our in-house Virtual Power Plant software, advanced payment plans, and CRM systems to create a scalable platform that other solar industry businesses could utilize to propel their growth.In September 2023, I spearheaded the comprehensive redesign and launch of the Powow brand, culminating in a groundbreaking mobile app. This app was the first in the solar industry to integrate comprehensive features such as solar data analysis, payment management, and an innovative customer service ticketing system directly within the app. This integration set a new standard for user engagement and operational efficiency in the industry.Furthermore, I directed the creation of the Powow Power brand, focusing on retail electricity. This initiative aimed to integrate solar, batteries, and virtual power plant solutions into community-focused energy programs. Key Achievements:CRM Development: Directed the design, development, and management of a bespoke, end-to-end CRM system tailored for distinct user types—internal staff, customers, and installers. This modular CRM supported comprehensive management of customer data, project progress, and operational logistics, significantly enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.Virtual Power Plant Innovation: Spearheaded the creation of the solar industry’s first entirely software-based virtual power plant. This innovative platform required no on-site hardware, offered $0 signup cost, and provided premium payments to customers, making it a highly attractive and popular market offering. Our clear, customer-centric model significantly outperformed traditional VPP models in uptake and satisfaction.Community Solar Program Leadership: Orchestrated the marketing and sales strategy for our groundbreaking Community Solar Program. This integrated model, featuring solar panels, batteries, and a novel residential payment plan, set industry benchmarks.
