Advises on proper course selection and appropriate semester course load and workload for all credit degree programs, credit and non-credit certificate programs, including course prerequisites, co-requisites, and recommended course sequence as well as articulation agreements relating to bachelor degree programs from universities associated with at the University Center.• Guides the international/ESOL students on admission application procedures and instructions, including explanation of F-1 visa requirements, application documentation, insurance, etc. Ensures that paperwork for the international admission is in order and in compliance with the government and college regulations prior to issuing an I-20.• Issues I-20s.• Maintains SEVIS records/ Report via the internet and paper record.• Plans International Orientation of new and returning students.• Advises students on academic probation and implements course of action for student.• Determines and advises students regarding eligibility for graduation upon completion of degree or certificate programs as well as course transferability to state, public, and private institutions.• Advises, interprets, and implement system/state policies regarding testing and placement, including credit by exam, prior learning assessment, state regulations for TASP, ACT, SAT, TASP, and TASP Alternatives examples such as Asset, Compass and Accuplacer.• Assisting with tracking of student goals and educational plans, retention, and compliance issues for students on visas.
