International Student ProgramManaged all aspects of WSB student exchange program.o In four years, brought 22 foreign students to WSB and sent 32% of WSB students abroad for the exchange student experience. o Established WSB as a SEVIS accredited F-1 Visa sponsor and served as the SEVIS school official. Created and updated SEVIS records, Created and managed school forms. Advised students and tracked their progress. o Developed, implemented and coordinated exchange and visiting programs with Waldorf and UNESCO ASPnet schools in Argentina, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Peru, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and Uganda.o Facilitated opportunities for foreign students to share their cultures with the entire school community. UNESCO Associated Schools Project NetworkInitiated WSB’s membership with the UNESCO ASPnet and wrote annual reports to maintain good status. Implemented and coordinated UNESCO school projects for grades K-12. Projects included: o Gigapan Photography Project (Partnership between UNESCO, Carnegie Mellon and NASA)o Transatlantic Slave Trade global videoconferenceo Senior work on contemporary slavery in partnership with students of Croydon College (UK) and Accra Girl’s School in Ghana.

Maryland Green School CertificationInitiated and stewarded a comprehensive sustainability program, culminating in the school being certified as a Maryland Green School. Activities included:o Instituting green projects at WSB committed to sustainabilityo Engaging teacher, staff and student body in school-wide composting and recyclingo Setting up composting stations to educate the students and greater community o Fashioning a sustainable solar cooking programo In partnership with Baltimore Honey, bringing beekeeping to the campus.Green Action Student TeamLaunched a student team to raise awareness and support the school’s green mission. Took 20% of WSB high school students to Alliance for Climate Education leadership training and supported these students in furthering practices and community consciousness around the greening initiatives at WSB.Community/Faculty Education Planned and coordinated events where environmental leaders were brought in as guest speakers to educate the school community, as well as the surrounding Baltimore community, on sustainability and global concerns. Speakers and organizations included Sally Fallon (nutritionist), Solar House Whole Energy, Pulitzer Center, and the Alliance for Climate Education. Arranged additional talks such as MD Agriculture and Education Foundation workshops that met teacher professional development goals.
