Sherritt, the project operator, has a 40% ownership position, Sumitomo 32.5% and Korea Resources have a 27.5% stake.Treasury Superintendent ensures the appropriate management of cash, credit control and insurance risk. I joined the Financial Engineering Group (FEG) in June 2007 and had a combined audit and FEG role over this period. Alan qualified as a Chartered Accountant and stayed on at KPMG as a Supervisor and was promoted to Manager in September 2010.I co-managed FEG in Johannesburg in 2010 /2011 and was then relocated to Cape Town. The Cape Town opportunity was seized as an opportunity to manage all functions of the FEG business, with guidance from the FEG partner in Johannesburg, as he would be charged with all responsibilities with respect to strategy and operations.The responsibilities under the Cape Town experience are similar; however they were shared across 3 managers.Industries serviced:• Banking (specifically treasury);• Energy;• Transportation;• Securitisation entities• Pension / provident funds;• Asset management;• Municipalities.
