    • Played a key role in supervision, communication and coordination of the NTD mapping exercise conducted by the MoH/WHO to inform the MoH on the extent of the disease burden in order to plan effectively for interventions based on evidence obtained. Mapping phase; 2016,2018 and 2019• Surveys conducted were both school based for Schistosomiasis (SCH) and soil transmitted helminths (STH) and community based for Lymphatic Filariasis (LF). • 26 counties were successfully mapped in phase one and 22 counties/districts were mapped in phase two and another 35 counties/districts mapped in 2019 round.

    • Planned and coordinated interventions under the WHO recommended SAFE strategy for Trachoma control in South Sudan. This includes; providing support to mapping trachoma in all suspected endemic areas (not limited to those areas assisted by TCC’s programme); conducted impacts assessments in TCC assisted areas; planning surgical outreach campaigns; coordinating planning, training and launching mass drug administration (MDA) activities; supervised routine health education and sanitation promotion. provided Technical assistant to the MoH and reestablished Trachoma programme in South Sudan after five counties received the results of Trachoma Impact survey. Planned and Launched MDA in three Kapoeta Counties resulting in 214,249 People treated with Zithromax, achieving 81%, a 24% increase in number of people treated in same area compare to previous years. • Trained seven state MoH and County Health Department supervisors on planning, supervision and training of community drugs distributers, MDA reporting tools and SOPs. • Successfully integrated Trachoma messages in Health Education messages programme at state, national level. Resulting in 776 villages reached with Health Education messages on Facial cleanness and Environmental Sanitation (F&E) and increase in number of Schools children reached with Health Education messages on F&E during MDA.• Planned and organized workshop with state department of WASH and NGO implementing partners to build collaboration. • Supported the Director of NTDs at the national Ministry of Health (MoH) in preparing annual operational plans, preparing application for ITI for Zithromax, completing monthly stock inventory of products donated to the TCC and ensured stock control guidelines were adhered to.
