During my 12-month internship at Suncor as an Automation Haul Systems Student, I collaborated closely with AHS business stakeholders to align data utilization with production and operational efficiency goals. This involved delivering data analytic solutions that supported autonomous operations, following agile development methodologies like Scrum, and adhering to best practices such as pair programming and code reviews.Key achievements include:* Leading the development of one of Suncor's initial mobile apps, enabling mining operations to access and utilize critical AHS metrics in real-time. This collaborative effort involved a 10-member team and leveraged SQL and Power BI. The app not only became Suncor's most frequently used application but also paved the way for future innovations.* Successfully conceptualizing and delivering the Weekly Variance report, a pivotal tool in leadership meetings for assessing mine performance and identifying areas for enhancement.* Orchestrating the migration of the Daily Production Report from SQL Server Reporting Studio (SSRS) to Power BI. This transition empowered operations supervisors to analyze past shift performance and make informed decisions to enhance subsequent shifts.
