    I am responsible for the complete day to day management of the Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) company as well as the Flights Based Operations company (FBO) in all aspects. Technically, Regulatory and Financially. We have a fleet of private customer aircraft we manage, maintain, support and provide CAMO services to, as well as a couple of Commercial Airline customer’s aircraft we provide maintenance and support to. Our FBO provides charter and support services for a range of customer aircraft privately and commercially. I report to our shareholders directly and serve as a member of the board of directors. The MRO company carries maintenance approvals for base and line maintenance from South Africa, Namibia, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique and Bermuda. We are also the only Embraer Approved Service Centre on the African Continent for both Executive and Commercial aircraft. I serve on the Embraer ASN steering committee for Executive aircraft, which is the Customer Advisory Board for Embraer Executive aircraft. I also still serve as part of the Dassault Aviation Operators Advisory Board working groups, for aircraft maintenance and documentation, new aircraft deliveries and technician maintenance and maintenance training. I recently was invited to join the EASA CAMO Advisory Board for CAMP SYSTEMS, to implement and advise on the new EASA PART CAMO requirements, and I have been a member of this board for the last eighteen months.

    My duties and responsibilities include the day to day managing of the technical side of the company, engineering, technical and logistics personnel, aircraft maintenance and maintenance support, maintenance contract negotiation and set up, budgeting, invoicing, spares and logistics, maintenance planning, pre-buy inspections, aircraft registration, de-registrations, technical training, quality system, safety management system and airworthiness of the fleet of aircraft. I am the Continued Airworthiness Manager for the CAMO and also a major post holder in the Safety Management System and a Bureau VERITAS certified Internal Quality auditor. We are an ISO 9001/2008 approved company as well as being Part of IBAC, CAASA and BAASA. We hold BDCA OTAR 39 approval for the technical department and BDCA OTAR 125 approval for the operations department. We also have an EASA 145 MRO approval as a Maintenance organisation. I manage the line station support and set up, and subcontractors we use outside and inside the country, to support the fleet of aircraft we maintain and manage on a continual basis. We have a maintenance control centre which renders twenty four hours technical support to our customers and aircraft fleet, which is also part of my daily managerial duties and responsibilities. I am extremely honored to be part of a fantastic team of dedicated and hardworking engineers, technicians and logistical personnel that help me do this. I also serve as part of the Dassault Operator Advisory Board working groups for, aircraft maintenance documentation, new aircraft deliveries and technician maintenance training. I also serve as a member of the Honeywell Global Customer Comittee board for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India where I was the former Vice Chairman Mechanical. I recently had the honour of being appointed to the RAASA & NTCA technical advisory comittee for light sport aircraft in South Africa where I am now a member. I have 31 years aircraft and aviation experience.

    My job was to maintain the Presidential Fleet of aircraft during line and heavy base maintenance for the squadron ranging from the HS 125-400 aircraft and ROLLS ROYCE VIPER 522 engines, King Air B200 aircraft and Pratt & Whitney PT6-42 engines, Cessna Citation 500 aircraft and Pratt & Whitney JT15D engines, Dassault Falcon 50/Falcon 900A aircraft and Garrett TFE 731-3/5 engines. I also was extensively involved in the line and intermediate maintenance for the Garret TFE 731-3/5 engine overhaul as we did this in house at the squadron. I also was responsible for all the maintenance tracking and planning for the aircraft Dassault Falcon fleet and engines.Was promoted to crew chief for the Dassault Falcon fleet of aircraft and later alternate chief inspector for the squadron as our aircraft were civilian registered with the South African Civil Aviation Authority.I obtained all my civilian AME licenses as well as engineering diploma through the South African Air force. I left the South African Air force in 1994 due to salary requirements.
