    The development of Helsinki Outlet started 2015. Helsinki Outlet is the first and only outlet village in the Helsinki capital area. The village opened with 45 stores and a 3.750 sqm. large children’s playland in 2017. In total, the center is approx. 15.000 m2.The development included analysis of the local market, purchase of land, zoning, financing and budgeting, construction, lease-out, recruitment and building the operations platform. During the operational phase my involvement included monitoring the operations, coaching the management team and development of an omnichannel platform. Development in a new country, market, and gave me very interesting learnings.

    Norwegian Outlet StavangerNorwegian Outlet Stavanger opened with 22 stores in 2016. In 2018 a phase II with 5 new stores was included. The center is in total approx. 8.000 sqm.Norwegian Outlet Stavanger was a total rebuild of an old existing shopping mall. My involvement included conducting a thorough analysis of the market and evaluating the potential, and concept development. As well as being responsible for the lease-out and executing active ownership during operation phase.

    In 2007 Trond Vegar Brattlie and myself founded Fortus as.Fortus has focused on investments and management within in real estate development.Fortus has done developments in of commercial properties, private houses, and health care properties in Norway, Sweden and Finland.With Fortus, I did own investments and property developments for the first time. From the partnership with Trond Vegar I experienced the value of a small but strong, hardworking team, with complementary profiles and strengths. I experienced a small team with a willingness to pay the price to reach the goal.

    The development of Norwegian Outlet in Vestby started in 2007. The Outlet village opened with 45 stores in 2010. In 2016 a phase II was developed with additional 15 stores. Norwegian Outlet had +20% CAGR first 6 years of operation. In 2016 Norwegian Outlet was the best performing outlet in the Nordics, and we sold it to VIA Outlets in 2017. The selling price was of the highest achieved in the outlet industry in Europe. In 2018 Norwegian Outlet changed name to Oslo Fashion Outlet (www.oslofasionoutlet.no)The development of Norwegian Outlet included in depth involvement in everything from analyzing and understanding the outlet marked, zoning and building rights, design and architecture, lease-out, finance, recruitment and building of a management team, building an operations platform, development of strategy, marketing and the sale of the asset.From the development of Norwegian Outlet I learned that sometimes is failure not an option.

    From 2002- 2012 I did TV commentating at Norway’s largest TV Network NRK. During the time in NRK I did live sport commenting from sport events around the world within Speed Skating. I also did the commentaries in entertainment programs and I participated as a commentator in the making of the first years on” Mesternes mester”, Norway’s most vied TV programs.From the time in NRK I learned TV production, and media. I also had the chance to keep the relationship and the connection to the world of sport. The work in NRK was mainly during weekends and in addition to other work.

    From 1990-2002 I was a member of the Norwegian speedskating team.The long life in professional sport shaped my personality and gave me important experience and skills in setting goals, and the doing what it takes to reach them.I hold both gold, silver and bronze medals from the Olympic Games in speed skating, and won 10 medals; 4 gold and 6 silver, in the World Championships. I also hold 30 World Cup victories from 1990-2002.
