    Worked on a pilot study called the Bronx Community Research Review Board (BxCRRB) with collaboration of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The BxCRRB is a community panel which is made up of community residents and representatives with the purpose to review and approve research projects. Recruited and consented participants.     Residential Energy Consumption Survey is a national area probability sample survey since 1978 that collects energy related data for occupied primary housing units. Conducted 45 minute in-person interview with householders of sampled housing units with the use of a laptop computer.October 2010 - January 2011 - Youth 1997 a longitudnal study that has followed the lives of participants from age 14 to the present. Yearly interview of participants regarding education, work, and family life ect...     Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored study of Hispanics studying the health of 16,000 participants in four states; Illinois and California. Developed ties with public officials and the community to create awareness in targeted areas of the Bronx by attending community board meetings and special events. Presented study via organized events with media and coordinated the opening of the study clinic. Trained and motivated newly hired recruiters. Editor of the SOL newsletter and Bronx website.Prepared weekly reports for study investigators.

    Vaginal Health Study (VHS) worked closely with the investigators of this study. Interviewed proprietors of Botanicas about what women use for vaginal hygiene. Recruited women to participate in the VHS study and conducted qualitative interviews in six Montefiore Medical clinics. Maintained database and assisted in the analysis of the data. A published co-author with Culture, Health and Sexuality.Family Lifestyle Assessment and Initial Risk (FLAIR) - recruited over 300 parents to participate in the study that would help develop a collaborative approach to the management of at-risk and overweight youth.
