  Having had overall responsibility for all of the sports programming on 102.5 The Bridge for 5 years and having managed around 20 other unpaid volunteers, with varying roles, in order to meetthe overall goal of producing 8 hours of sports programming a week; I have now stepped down from the role of Sports Editor; but am still heavily involved in the running of the Sports Department at Black Country Radio.My current role includes planning, well in advance, on the content of future programmes as well as liasing with sporting clubs and other journalists within the area.It is also my responsibility to arrange studio guests, pre-record interviews and to work withthe editing software available to me in order to produce as high a quality of product as we can.I am now heavily involved in organising, producing and presenting live Outside Broadcasts from sports grounds, both locally and around the UK.; I have either provided commentary or co-commentary on over 300 live matches (on both football and rugby union) during the last 10 years and have presented live OBs from as far afield as Spennymoor in County Durham and Braintree in Essex.Having presented and produced a Friday Sports Show, showcasing forthcoming local and national sporting events, for many years; I now present twice hourly sports bulletins on Black Country Radio between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday at peak listening hours.We have also started producing Black Country Sport podcasts, which are available via iTunes, showcasing local sports people and the clubs they represent.
