    My current responsibilities in the lead Senior Environmental Advisor position include the provision of specialist support in Environmental management to Newmont Jundee Operations. This support is facilitated through a team of Environmental Advisor/technicians, consultants and an Indigenous Ranger Program (DMP Golden Gecko Nomination).The role requires experience and a good understanding of the WA regulatory framework and environmental and social responsibility risks in the resources industry. Further responsibilities include system development and implementation, monitoring, compliance assessment and continuous improvement. In more detail I am accountable for safely managing a department with multiple reports and its budgetary requirements. I am further responsible for the coordination of various environmental studies related to water management and modelling, closure and reclamation and the subsequent mitigation of identified risks to business. Environmental risks to business or stakeholders are managed through regular system reviews and audits through the implementation of Newmont's Integrated Management system and its technical standards (ISO14001 Compliant). We recently completed a significant earthworks closure and reclamation program. We are currently undergoing planning for further reclamation works to be completed in the near future.
