    This is an interesting project and I have tried to understand the rationale behind the development and implementation of some of the disruptive warehouse automation technologies. For the project which is currently in process, I have allocated my time to: -Conducting academic research and literature review of the disruptive technologies available.-Describing the operation of the technologies and the pros and cons of the technologies. -Illustrating the application areas of each technology. -Determining the selection criteria from the point of view of a 3PL-Calculating the approximate cost savings generated by the implementation of these technologies through productivity improvements, labor hour reductions, storage optimization, and improved accuracy. Finally, as the project is nearing its completion, I have realized that because of the inherent nature of automation, there will never be a "One solution fits all" and the companies must truly understand its requirements and must be clear in its goals before deciding to go for a specific automation solution.
