Working in the Aerospace Design Laboratory, I helped implement wall functions in the RANS module of the SU2 CFD software. After, I conducted a grid spacing study to find ideal wall function grid parameters for faster convergence at minimal loss of accuracy. With these grid parameters I then conducted 2D validation tests on the wall functions.

I participated in the overall conceptual design of the aircraft, using VSP to help portray my ideas to colleagues. We developed a blended wing body aircraft powered by distributed electric propulsion and turbogenerators. I used the FlightStream CFD software to help optimize the airframe for efficiency. Our design took first place in the competition.
