Overview

Project Liber8 is a non profit organisation founded in 2011 that aims to shift public perception on the issue of human trafficking. Human trafficking is a term used to describe the activity by which millions of people are transported around to become enslaved each year. The International Labor Organization estimates that forced labor and human trafficking is a $150 billion industry worldwide. And that’s just touching the surface of it. The fact of the matter is, Modern slavery exists and continues to thrive because a lot of us simply don’t understand how it works. We believe that awareness is the first step towards action, and it is in the little things we do each day that can make a difference. Through our programs to aim in shifting attitudes and behavior, we conduct effective and innovative programs to educate people on information they need to advocate for a #SlaveFreeMalaysia.
