Overview

founded in 2007, Welly Ball is the largest black-tie dinner in Scotland, followed by one of the most highly anticipated after-parties attended by over 2000 guests from all over the UK. All money raised from the event is donated directly to the Charlie Waller Trust. This helps to go towards the charity's goal of raising awareness and support for young adults with mental health issues and helping to fight the associated stigma which accompanies them. Welly Ball was proud to donate £30,000 to Charlie Waller Trust in 2021 and has raised over £190,000 for philanthropic causes in the last 15 years. In addition to our charitable focus, we have worked to partner with companies such as Dubarry, San Pellegrino, Hunter and Russell and Bromley, all whom have generously sponsored our efforts for organising the event. Our committee consists of a vast array of talents from which the Events, Marketing, Sponsorship, Front of House, Media, Finance, and Charity teams are formed. These teams work throughout the whole year in order to provide a fantastic event for students across the UK as well as continuously working alongside and promoting our charitable partner.
