Wright has more than 30 years experience in corporate and agency marketing. She worked for two of the largest PR firms in the world - Hill & Knowlton in their Atlanta, Honolulu and Newport Beach, CA offices serving clients across America and Asia Pacific and Fleishman-Hillard out of Dallas. Her agency account work included Mazda, IBM, Southwestern Bell, McDonald’s, and British Petroleum, among others. Following her years in the agency world, she then joined the headquarters of Hyatt International where she opened more than 25 hotels outside the United States and trained public relations executives in four continents and more than a dozen countries. Upon arriving in Northern Virginia in 1999, she served as Director of Internal Communications for Columbia Energy Group during a hostile takeover and later joined AARP as Director of Member Events in Washington, DC organizing events for more than 30 million members across the United States. Sharon has been the proud owner of her own marketing and public relations consultancy based out of Loudoun County for almost 15 years.
