Overview

Desirie Parker has extensive experience in the anti-trafficking industry, having worked for three of the most respected and longest running organizations in the country. She has led staffs ranging in size from five to 35, and under her leadership more than 20 employees were promoted to their first leadership positions in the last 2 years alone. Desirie backs up her years of experience with an MBA from the University of Houston and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, as well as years of continued education in trauma-informed care. After more than 15 years working in some of the most respected anti-trafficking programs and nonprofits in the country, Desirie decided it was time to use her expertise to help others working in the field of trauma. That's when she created EMPOWER Together and the EMPOWER Path. The EMPOWER Path is how anti-trafficking programs develop front-line employees into a thriving team of growing leaders. It’s about partnering with an industry expert who knows how to build and retain employees without having to dedicate valuable leadership time to continuous staff development.
