Worked as a support resource for the Schlumberger IM Far East Asia groups - served as resource for troubleshooting tickets and service requests pertaining to Oracle database systems. Migrated Production Oracle Servers from 7.3.4 to 8.1.7 and up to 9i.Designed database schemas.Performed tasks associated with tuning of database systems for performance and efficiency enhancements, reviewing the logs, available space, configuring the initialization parameters based on application requirements, optimizing complex SQL queries, adhering to the OFA standards to implement file systems. Responsible for minimizing downtimes on Schlumberger IM applications by ensuring the weekly backups of database, archive logs to disk/tape systems. Supported geophysical and data management parts of GeoFrame. Maintained 3 types of G&G databases (Finder, SeisDB and LogDB) as Oracle DBA. Created automated backup/recovery procedures that later were used in other Schlumberger data management centers. NDR project received Schlumberger MEA president reward as the most profitable data management project of the year 2003 in Middle East – Asia area.In 2000 worked 4 months in Vietnam as lead engineer of the team of Schlumberger and VIETSOVPETRO data management specialists to create E&P corporate database for JV VIETSOVPETRO.
