Cavalry Scout
-
Nov 1985 - Nov 1989
I was the driver of an M3A1 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, also known as a Bradley. I was also responsible for the preventive maintenance on the vehicle. At 17 I went through Basic Training at Fort Knox Kentucky and then traveled to Kirchgoens Germany for my permanent duty station. I was stationed in Germany for almost 4 years. I learned that being independent is not as valuable as learning to be interdependent. The Army taught me to be more interdependent of others because working together as a team gets far more accomplished than working alone.
