Ensure that the provision of the PhD programme, research development and management information is delivered to the institution, proactively changing the delivery according to customer requirements• Establish working relationships with key contacts, developing appropriate communication links with the University’s Schools/Directorates and outside bodies as required• Create specific working groups from colleagues across the University to achieve school and College objectives• Plan and deliver specific small scale projects, co-ordinating and supervising project teams created as needed

•To contribute to the ongoing development of the Deanery’s Quality Management Framework for Postgraduate Medical Training within Wales.•To support the implementation of a strategy for quality developments for the training schools, ensuring compliance with national standards as set out by the GMC.•To co-ordinate the GMC trainee and trainer surveys across NHS Wales including the co-ordination of management information and communications in preparation for the survey as well as the production of reports post survey.•To support the Deanery’s risk management framework for postgraduate medical education and training contributing to the monitoring of training issues on behalf of training schools.•To assist with the development and co-ordination of externality in relation to training programme management and delivery..•To support the development of the programme approval process for pilot, evaluation and future roll-out in Wales, taking into account existing quality management processes.•To liaise with partners in the NHS regarding quality concerns in the delivery of postgraduate training and facilitating quality improvement work with them.•To assist the SRE Programme Manager in the implementation of quality improvement projects as necessary.•To produce relevant reports on behalf of the Sub Dean (Quality & PGES) and Quality Project Manager e.g. quarterly Postgraduate Board reports..•To liaise with the following stakeholders on a regular basis, contributing to effective team working and maintaining effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders including and Deanery contacts, Foundation Programme Directors, the appropriate Medical Schools, trainees, STC Chairs and Programme Directors, Health Boards in Wales (including Chief Executives, Medical Directors, Finance Directors, Heads of Medical Staffing, clinicians and senior managers), BMA, other Deaneries in the UK, the Welsh Government and the General Medical Council.
